Haim Tukachinsky -Pianist and Composer

Graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in both piano and composition, composition under Dr. Michael Wolpe and piano under Prof. Isaac Katz and Prof. Vadim Monostyrsky.

Participated in numerous masterclasses with well-renowned artists from around the world: John Lill, Boris Berman, Perer Bithell, Catherine Kautsky, Steven Glazer, Andrei Diev, Matti Raekallo, Daniel Hoexter, Sonya Rubinsky, Kim Dae Jin, Jerome Lewental, Dmitry Novgorodsky  and others.

Winner of the America-Israel Cultural Fundation(AICM) award for years 2007-2009. Was also awarded the Wolf scholarship, among others.

Performes as soloist, accompanist and chamber music player in concerts in main venues throughout Israel, including "Einav Center" and "Felicia Blumental" halls in  Tel-Aviv, TA Museum of Arts (Recanati Hall), the Jerusalem Music Center, the Ticho House, the"Targ" center in Ein Kerem,the "Wise" Auditorium (Giv'at-Ram) and the YMCA. In summer 2008 participated in the Oxford Piano Festival.

In January 2010 was awarded the second prize in the 11th Carlo Tavassani Piano Competition. In May 2010 was awarded the second prize in the "Rose Khoron" Competition for Chamber Music.

Since 2012 Haim is involved in musical theatre productions in Isarel. Musically directed "Seussical", "Peter Pan", "The Producers" ( for Israel Musicals), "Next to Normal", "First Date", "Merrily we Roll Along", "Ordinary Days" (AACI Jerusalem), "the Sound of music", "Singin' in the Rain", as well as several Broadway reviews. Played in productions of "Cats","Little night Music" and others. 

Haim's output as a composer spreads upon wide and diverse spectrum of genres: music for solo instruments, camber music, vocal music, choral and orchestral music, as well as music for the stage. Some of his works were preformed by leading Israeli ensembles, such as the "Caprisma" ensemble and the Be'er-Sheva Sinfonietta.
